It took one and a half hours on the ferry from Krk to reach Lopar on the island of Rab. No sign of a taxi anywhere to take us down to the town of Rab where we’re staying so found that there is a local bus, but no bus for 90 minutes, so grabbed a drink and basically chilled out until the bus arrived.
Got to our airbnb which is really nice, spacious, great outdoor balcony, all good. First day we found a little taxi boat to take us over a little strip of water to Kandarola beach. What a lovely spot it is too, so we’ve decided this will do us for the next 3 days, no need to look any further.
On night 2 we had a stroll into Rab town to watch England in the world cup semi final. What a lovely town it is, would definitely recommend this place to anyone, really pleasing on the eye, stacks of restaurants, bars etc and some really nice shops. Apart from losing the football we had a great evening. Here’s some images of our time on the island of Rab.
