Day 6 today and it’s travelling day on a bus to Tropea. Total journey time was about 8 hours but to be honest it didn’t feel like that, compared to doing a journey like that on a plane. Very comfortable coach, Flixbus, and plenty of lovely countryside and scenery to enjoy.
Day 7 we went off to explore Tropea, and what a beautiful place it is. Our Airbnb is in a great location, and very spacious with everything we need for our 4 days here. The old town sits up above the coast, and you access it via steps, three different options. We took the most direct one which consists of 180 steps, nice little morning workout. It’s a stunning town, typical Italian charm, beautiful alleyways and architecture, great views of the coastline and beaches below, great selection of restaurants, bars, cafes etc
Day 8 and 9 were beach days combined with an evening stroll up into the town to check the evening vibe, which was very nice. Beaches were beautiful, fairly quiet this time of year with gorgeous clear refreshing water, and the town in the evening was buzzing, so many lovely looking restaurants to choose from. We decided to only have a drink and enjoy a lunchtime treat on the beach one day.
