We hit the road again and are now in the pretty little town of Eden on the east coast about 4 hours south of Sydney. The town used to be famous for its whaling industry.
The drive down from Jervis bay was beautiful, so we enjoyed a few stops along the way. A nice little walk around Ulludulla, a swim at Batemens bay and a nice late lunch in Narooma. It’s a pleasure to drive on the roads of Australia and just take in the scenery.
Day 1 in Eden we had a little stroll around and then spent the afternoon on a lovely little beach, literally a 2 minute walk from our property.
Day 2 in Eden we walked an aboriginal trail called the Bundian Way which was nice and then went to the Killer Whale museum, reasonably interesting but you can take it or leave it.
Had another nice walk along the back of Aslings beach before taking a drive to have a look at Merimbula which is about 25 mins away. Nice town with a great beach.
Our final day at Eden we went to Boewa national park for our first proper bush walk, very pleasant and ended up at an inlet called Severs beach which was beautiful. We then explored further and found an amazing beach called Quondolo. Hopefully the pictures below do it justice. Incredibly we were able to enjoy this little piece of paradise all to ourselves for the afternoon!
In the evening we walked into the town and enjoyed a meal at the Australasian Hotel, which I would recommend. A very attractive aussie pub, which is unusual, as they are usually pretty bland.
