A couple of meals out and one more meal in. The featured image is a monkfish and prawn skewer in Fuzetta, Portugal. The lunch picture is in Sintra and the other image is home made dinner in Cascais. The middle pic is a sweet treat, the very popular portugese custard tart. We left Portugal and…

Tavira final week
So we’re a few days away from the end of our 4 week stay in Tavira. It’s been absolutely fantastic, weather has been a little more mixed than previous times and definitely a consistent strong breeze most afternoons, but that aside it’s been perfecto. I highly recommend Tavira to anyone looking for a quiet, chilled…

Eating well in Tavira
We’re enjoying a great mix of cooking in and eating out in some really nice restaurants in Tavira. The plan is to self cater 4/5 days a week and eat out on the other days. Good for our budget, and quite frankly I enjoy cooking anyway. Here is a sample of our gastronomic experience so…

Cordoba final day
Last night we enjoyed a lovely meal out, but forgot to make a note of the restaurant so can’t make a recommendation unfortunately. Before that had a wander up to Plaza Corodella. a really big square with two arch gates at each end. A roman road used to pass through here apparently. Another day catching…

Restaurant meal
Would recommend this restaurant for a good meal in centre of Granada, good quality and price was fair, not cheap but good price for the quality of food.

We would definitely recommend being brave and buying the local fish at the fish market in Colva, explore the big market in Margao town, and use the local fruit and veg stalls. We’ve had no delly belly problems and had…

If you’re in Colva I would recommend Woodfire smoked Pizza. Last night we also made our second home made curry, this time using the…

Local food
Paid a visit to the local fish market today, unreal, so basic, cheap and yummy. Got some golden fish and king prawns, cooked up the golden fish tonight with some masala spices and a side salad, delicious? Going to do the prawns in a curry next week, sitting nicely in our freezer right now.

Top Restaurant
If you like fish and quality cooking then The Little Fish Market is a restaurant I recommend you try in Hove, only 20 covers so nice atmosphere and no menu complications because it is a set 5 course menu at a fixed price.
