We left Barwon Heads and headed for Lorne, via Torquay which is the official start of the Great Ocean Road, the iconic road trip in south eastern Australia.
Had a lovely stop in Torquay, which is a great coastal city, and then stopped at the famous Bells Beach to watch the surfers, and various scenic spots on our way to Lorne.

Lorne is another lovely coastal town, busy with holidaymakers, a well to do place with plenty of fabulous houses perched on the steep hills surrounding the town. We found our accommodation, which is a well appointed and furnished unit below the owners main house.
Mainly spent our time sunbathing on the large Lorne beaches, with gentle surf waves, gorgeous sunshine and golden sand. Also enjoyed a very tasty burger and chips for dinner as a treat one night.
