Didn’t really know what to expect when we arrived in this northern Spanish city, but it wasn’t long before we realised it was another beautiful city that rivalled the cities we’ve seen in southern Spain. I would certainly recommend a trip to Burgos. It’s on the camino way, pilgrim route when travelling to Santiago de Compestella, so has some very interesting catholic churches, a monastery and of course a spectacular cathedral. It also has an interesting museum we visited on day 2, The museum of human evolution, well worth a visit. Here are some images of the city.
And now for some images of the historic sites that are littered around the city.
And finally here’s a picture of the shared pool that was available for us to use, an absolute treat after a long day walking around the city. Our apartment is the top left of the big building in the background.
