France

So we started our European adventure with a Eurostar train to Paris, very enjoyable bombing along at in excess of 160 mph across the French countryside, accompanied by a fairly loud and excitable hen party?

Managed to navigate the metro and RER in Paris to arrive at our location in Puteaux at about 5pm. Nice little studio apartment that will serve us well for the next 3 days I’m sure. First day today we went on a 3 hour walking tour around some of the Paris sights, and then did a couple of things on our own.

Made a couple of silly mistakes, bought a metro all day travel card for all zones when we only needed up to zone 3, so cost us a bit more than needed, and went to a local minimarket to stock up on some provisions only to find a more mainstream supermarket nearby on the way back to our apartment, again a costly mistake. Need to get better from now onwards I feel.

A nice little brasserie in the old part of Paris
You have to do this when in Paris

I recognised where you were from all of the photos bar the brasserie which I thought could be Montmarte? Going to France in June but Paris is too expensive due to the Olympics so heading to beautiful Colmar in Alsace.
